Sorghum Millet
Sorghum is
also called great millet, Indian millet or jowar of the grass family and its
edible starchy seeds. Sorghum is especially valued in hot and arid regions for
its resistance to drought and heat.
Different
usage are - grain sorghums, used for food; grass sorghums, grown for hay and
fodder, and broomcorn, used in making brooms and brushes. It can be consumed in
the form of flour and is used as a substitute for wheat. It can be used to make
chapattis, breads, pancakes, waffles, cookies, etc.
