Sambar Powder, a spice blend mostly used in southern India for cooking Sambhar as the name suggests. It adds a unique taste to the Indian vegetable soup that is most commonly eaten with dosa, idly, vada, etc. Its main ingredients are toor dal,red chillies, coriander seeds,peppercorn, fenugreek seeds, turmeric and dry curry leaves. The ingredients are either sun-dried or dry roasted till aromatic and then grounded in a mixer. Sambar dish is made of pulses adding the sambar powder.
